My Africa tale
Nzulezo Ghana's Village on Stilts
I love to visit and sight see in Africa, Go to different locations and mingle with the locals. My visit to Nzulezo, the village built on stilts. That me in the pink shirt
enjoying my ride to Nzulezo, I would say about a 15 minutes boat ride to get there. The entire village is built on water, Lake Tandane, in Ghana. After arrival, met by the locals in the community, very friendly and welcoming. You can enjoy the rest of the pictures of Nzulezo on my Facebook business page Oasis HRL Travel and Tours LLC.
My very first trip to Africa was to Nigeria, about 15 years ago. What an amazing experience. My first stop from the airport was Lagos. Very busy and crowed city. I later spent some time in a small village outside of Abeokuta, very quiet and peaceful there. That is me in the blue dress, call a bubu in Yoruba, enjoying my day at the market. The locals are addressing me in their native tongue. They don't know I am American. I have been visiting Nigeria every year since that day.

Hanging out with the villagers in Ghana
My favorite memory of Africa is this picture. I just left the farm and decided to get some palm wine before heading back to the house. I was directed to the local palm wine tapper and met this amazing family. I will never forget the warm welcome I received from them. That is me in the red t-shirt, enjoying my time with this amazing village family. I am in Ghana a small town in the Volta Region. Needless to say, I love it in the village. The people are friendly and welcoming.
